Pre-launch of event on @temasekpoly.design.

After receiving the photos from my partner whom handled our DS22 photoshoot, I went ahead to post-process them on Adobe Photoshop and edited accordingly to fit our theme, “Design in Motion”. In total, there are >6 IGS, 8 giphys, 2 video posts done by me. These were some of the pre-launch materials posted on our Instagram stories to engage not just the student body, but the public. I would take turns with my partner to repost funny replies and respond to DMs on @temasekpoly.design.

Food For Thought

The Design Show 2022 marks the end of my 3 years here at Temasek Polytechnic, School of Design. To me, The Design Show 2022 was not just a graduation show but the last time when I could work with my friends in TP and I wanted to create more meaningful memories. Hence,
I seized the opportunity to be a part of the publicity team where I took on multiple roles.

The 5 of us in the team were in charge of planning and execution of the publicity deliverables. We kickstarted it with just a reference from the key visual done by the school. It was a little daunting since there was lots of pressure on us to make this show memorable, especially when it’s finally back at full scale after 2 years. From making small decisions like who to interview to bigger ones like how to communicate with our sponsors, we learnt how to be patient, trust and depend on one another to be responsible.

My job scope was pretty large here as I was considered an all-rounder in the team. However, I mainly engage with the audience on Instagram Stories with my design works — that means advertisements, GIPHYs, short videos, questions, polls, etc. It was back-breaking, but super fun for me especially when I got to see everyone having fun with the GIPHYs that I have designed. It was also pretty interesting to takeover temasekpoly.design’s Instagram account to communicate with my fellow batch mates, feature works, behind-the-scenes, and running around to do interviews with students on D-day for the past month.

Through this rewarding experience, I got to talk to advertising sponsors, directors, lecturers, design students from all 5 courses. I enjoyed striking conversations and networking as an extrovert and it's just a really bittersweet feeling that we took a month to plan for a 2 day event. Everything unfolded so quickly!
